(TheIndoDaily) – Indonesia’s state-owned electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Energy (PLN) and HDF Energy, have signed a Joint Development Study Agreement (JDSA) during the #COP28 event held on Dec. 3, 2023, aiming at jointly developing hydrogen power plants in the Eastern Indonesian region.
The JDSA was signed by Darmawan Prasodjo, President Director of PLN, and Mathieu Geze, Director for Asia at HDF Energy and President Director of PT HDF Energy Indonesia at the Pavilion of Indonesia in Dubai.
Yusuf Didi Setiarto, PLN’s Director of Legal and Human Capital Management, and Thibault MENAGE, HDF Energy’s VP of Caribbean, were also among the top executives of both parties that attended the signing ceremony.

This signing of the JDSA follows the successful signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) back in April 2023.
“This collaborative milestone serves as a platform for PLN and HDF Energy to conduct joint studies, evaluating the technical and financial feasibility of deploying HDF ‘s game-changing Renewstable® hydrogen power plants in the Eastern Indonesia region, with initial emphasis on Sumba, NTT,” HDF Energy said in its official Linkedin platform.
This international synergy aligns with the Indonesian government’s commitment to carry out the energy transition agenda and propelling the development of green hydrogen, renewable energy and smart infrastructure for the future of energy.
